Mike Jacka holds the neck to the West
The neck is thought to hold the spirit of the corn and is held aloft and shown to the East where the sun rises, to the South following the sun, and then to the West where the sun sets.

He then says,
"I 'ave 'un! I 'ave 'un! I 'ave 'un!"

The reply by those assembled is,
"What 'ave 'ee? What 'ave 'ee? What 'ave 'ee?"

and the reply is:
"A neck! A neck! A neck!"

Everyone then joins in shouting:
"Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!"
